Fuel Injector Installation Software User Guide
Load the Installer Software
1. Your fuel injector installation software is provided on three (3) diskettes. Two contain the installation program while the third diskette provides fuel flow data which is specific to one fuel injector.
This installation program must be used on a computer which uses Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, or 00 operating system. It must not be used from a DOS environment.
2. While Windows is operating, to install, place diskette #1 in the computer floppy drive (typically A:). Press the Start button, select run, and then type "a:\setup" (without the quote marks).
When prompted, insert disk #2 to complete the installation.
Note - You need to install the fuel injector installation software on your computer once. It will be accessible on your computer for future injector installation sessions. Simply use the correct data diskette with each fuel injector. The installation software diskettes may be loaded on as many computers as desired.
If you obtained the installation software from our web site download, please disregard the above steps. Instead, start the program injector.exe. Then follow the instructions for using the data disk provided with the injector.
Perform the Injector Data Installation
1. After physically installing the fuel injector on the motor, attach the diagnostic interface cable to the motor wiring harness connector and to the available serial communications port on your computer. (Com 1 is the preferred port).
2. Boot up the computer (if not already running) and power up the ECU/EMM by turning the boat key switch to the "run" position.
3. Insert the data floppy disk in the computer drive, being certain the serial number matches the fuel injector just inserted.
4. From Windows, select Start, Programs, Injector Installation.
5. When the program starts, select the appropriate com port.
6. Select the appropriate cylinder from the menu. This value must match the cylinder number where the fuel injector was installed.
7. Click on install.
8. When the message appears saying "successful", the installation process is complete.
If a communication error appears, recheck the diagnostic cable connections, power to the ECU/EMM, and correct com port selection.
