"Go" disks are engine calibration and operating system updates which are intended to address specific operational issues. The disks are unique and must be applied to specific motor models. Each disk is usable on only one specified outboard motor. Please refer to the "Go" Disk Instruction Sheet for further details.

While we list all available software updates which were released by the manufacturer, it is recommended that you select the most up-to-date version as it will incorporate all preceding changes. To review all software updates, including a brief description of what each version addresses, please refer to our Tech Tips section.

When ordering a "Go" disk, the owner or servicing dealership must provide a completed "Go" Disk Certification Form. The form provides specific engine model & serial number information, current calibration software, and certification that the software will be used as intended. This is required in order to assure compliance with United States Environmental Protection Agency rules and regulations. This form must be completed, signed, and returned to DFI Technologies, Inc. before we can ship the software to you. The form may be returned via fax, E-mail, or mail.

"Go" disks are available on 3 1/2" floppy disks or via E-mail attachment for quicker service and lower cost.

Note

Engine controllers (ECU) produced prior to model year 2000 are extremely susceptible to software download procedure errors which may result in total failure of the ECU. For this reason, DFI Technologies, Inc. no longer provides "GO Disks" for these applications.

Instead, we require the customer to send the ECU in for software upgrade at our facility. Our charge for this service is the same as "GO Disk" services. The customer, however, is responsible for all shipping charges associated with the upgrade.
